Hello, I’m Fran. I was born and raised in the canton of Thurgau (Switzerland) and spent the next 20 years both in Zurich and London. I now live on the outskirts of Zurich.

I’m in love with food, cooking and good ingredients. I have a masters in political economics and a work background in banking. In 2018 I came across the art of food fermentation and attended a sauerkraut workshop in Zurich (which I wrote a post about on this blog). I immediately fell in love with the topic, trained in it and started my business Wild Pulse, with which I teach fermentation, gut health and sustainability to the public, to professional chefs and run all kinds of events.
