We’ve been making this Knäckebrot (crispbread) for a year now and we still don’t get tired of it. It’s just so delicious and a great substitute for those less healthy afternoon and late night snacks. So, this year we’ve used the same recipe for our edible Christmas presents. Here are the instructions.
Per jar of baking mix you’ll need
- A 5dl glass jar (it needs to be 5dl and no less as it’ll be filled to the max)
- Some glass paints if you want to paint the jar
- 140g spelt flour
- 70g sesame seeds
- 30g sunflower seeds
- 35g flaxseeds
- 1 tsp salt
Clean the jars and paint them with your glass paints. Dry (and bake if needed) according the instructions.
Fill the jar with all edible ingredients from the above list.
Print the baking instructions and glue them on a nice card or paper and tie them to the jar, or glue them on the jar as a label.
Wrap the jar, finished!
